This is a highly interactive life skills workshop that uses contemporary poetry, popular youth music and role models, role play, group activities and multimedia in a fun, engaging and innovative way as a vehicle to teach young people about the importance of effective communication and why it is essential for life in today’s society. Each participant is also given a booklet to keep in order to reinforce what they have learnt in the session.

This workshop can be delivered as a 6 or 7 week extended programme and covers:

The importance of effective communication, both verbal and non-verbal, in real life situations
How to communicate more effectively using the P.O.E.T.R.Y Model™ created by SAY
Adopting a Positive attitude and confidence
Taking Personal responsibility for your actions
Constructive disagreement and social interaction skills
How education and self-development enhances communication and life in general
