Serious About Youth (SAY) is a youth-focused organisation based in London (UK) that strives to make a real difference to the lives of young people through innovative ‘life’ skills workshops delivered in schools and other youth organisations as well as other services. Our workshops utilise highly relevant methods and resources such as interactive group activities, contemporary poetry, popular youth music and role models, multimedia and engineering-based techniques to develop the aspirations and soft skills of the young people we engage in effective and interesting ways that resonate with them. May 2012:

 

SAY has launched the fantastic new initiative 'the SAY Reading Challenge' - where schools have the opportunity to raise the literacy aspirations of their students as well as funds for their school! This scheme promotes the power and importance of literacy and effective communication to be successful in life to young people in an engaging and fresh way, as well as provides a fun platform for your students to actively get involved in fundraising for their school. May 2012:

 

It has been announced that the proposed 'free school', the STEM Academy, which SAY will be involved with if approved, has successfully reached the interview stage of the process to possibly be granted free school status!! We need you to help us cross the finish line by completing our short survey to show demand for the academy, so if you are 14-17 or a parent with children in that age range (we particularly need 14 year olds to complete them), please click here to find out more information and complete the survey!

 

 

April 2012:

 

SAY was chosen to receive a grant from Westminster City Council, BNP Paribas & Vital Regeneration as part of the Westminster Cultural Olympiad Small Grants Scheme, to deliver an exciting version of the Create Sport Challenge specifically for schools in Westminster called the 'SAY Westminster Sports, Arts & Culture Challenge' (WSACC)!! We look forward to working with schools & students in Westminster to celebrate the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics through our innovative and beneficial project! February - September 2012:

We are currently running the, which is a fantastic engineering-based competition in schools across London where Year 8 students are invited to design and build a model stadium/community venue for the Olympics coming to London in 2012!!
